Police officer killed in Cholistan Jeep Rally, case filed against racer Faisal Shadikhail

A police officer, ASI Muhammad Bashir, was killed when a jeep went off track during the Cholistan Rally. Police have filed a case against racer Faisal Shadikhail.

BAHAWALPUR (Web Desk) - A case has been filed following the death of a police officer in the Cholistan Jeep Rally.

The incident occurred during the rally when racer Faisal Shadikhail’s jeep number 112 went out of control. A petition has been submitted seeking registration of a case against the racer under police supervision.

According to police, the petition was submitted at Marot police station. The accident took place near Qilla Jamgarh, Ak Wala Toba.

The petition states that due to the driver’s negligence, the jeep veered off the track and hit the on-duty police officer. The deceased, ASI Muhammad Bashir, was posted at Farid Town Police Station.

It further alleges that the driver violated Sections 322 and 277. The body of the martyred police officer has been transferred to the hospital.
