LAHORE (Web Desk) – Several international cricket starts including England batsman Dawid Malan remained unsold at the first-ever player auction for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).
The auction for the tournament, which will be played from March 26 to May 3, was conducted at Lahore’s Expo Centre, creating a historic moment for Pakistani cricket. Over 800 domestic and international players were registered, with top franchises competing to secure marquee talent.
Several notable cricketers failed to attract bids in the recent auction, including Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Sri Lanka's Dinesh Chandimal and Charith Asalanka, as well as England's Reece Topley, Australia's rising T20 star Jake Fraser-McGurk, New Zealand's experienced all-rounder James Neesham, and South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen, Tony de Zorzi, and Keshav Maharaj.
From Pakistan, several key players went unsold, including Hussain Talat, Danish Aziz, Mohammad Zeeshan, Zahid Mehmood, Musa Khan, and Rohail Nazir.
Emerging talents such as Mohammad Huraira, Mubasir Khan, and Farhan Yousaf, the captain of the Pakistan U19 men's cricket team, also failed to secure contracts.
