MURREE (Web Desk) – Murree witnessed fresh snowfall, making the weather pleasant and the scenic hill station even more attractive for visitors. The latest spell of light snowfall continued late into the night, with four inches of snow recorded in different areas.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Murree Dr Muhammad Raza Tanveer Sapra, all roads in Murree are open for traffic despite the snowfall, and tourists can visit the hill resort without worry.
He said intermittent snowfall followed by rain increased the cold, with temperatures dropping to three degrees Celsius. However, the administration and traffic police acted swiftly to clear roads, keeping all major routes open and traffic flowing smoothly.
The DPO added that no incidents of vehicles getting stuck or tourists being stranded were reported. He advised visitors to use fog lights due to low visibility, avoid speeding and overtaking, and maintain safe distances between vehicles.
Tourists were also urged to contact emergency helpline 15 or the traffic police helpline in case of any emergency.
