ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that India is waging a proxy war against Pakistan.
Speaking during the National Assembly session on Monday, he said that Afghan soil is being used to carry out terrorist activities in Pakistan.
The minister emphasized that unity is the only panacea to combat terrorism and eliminate this scourge from the soil of Pakistan.
He further called for course correction by learning from past mistakes, and said that the armed forces are rendering unmatched sacrifices in this war, which must be acknowledged and respected.
Khawaja Asif stressed that internal disputes should be resolved through dialogue on the floor of Parliament.
Leader of the Opposition Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaisar and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly also passed a resolution condemning the terrorist attack on a mosque in Islamabad.
The resolution, moved by Hameed Hussain, demanded that the planners, facilitators and abettors of this heinous act should be brought to justice.
The House reiterated the resolve that terrorism, sectarianism, hatred and violence have no room in Pakistan and the state will fulfill its responsibilities by ensuring protection of citizens’ lives and property.
Briefing the House, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said that it was a suicide attack in which 33 people lost their lives.
He informed the House that the suicide bomber was identified as Yasir, son of Bahadur Khan, a resident of Peshawar. He further stated that two associates of the suicide bomber were arrested from Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
