Supreme Judicial Council meeting convened on Feb 11

Chief Justice Yahya Afridi has convened a Supreme Judicial Council meeting on February 11 to review misconduct complaints against high court judges.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has summoned a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) to address misconduct complaints against high court judges.

The meeting, to be held on February 11 under the chairmanship of the chief justice, will review pending allegations and related matters.

It is expected to take stock of complaints and decide the way forward.

Participants will include Federal Constitutional Court Chief Justice Ameenuddin Khan, senior Supreme Court judges, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum, and Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar.

The session comes as scrutiny of judicial conduct remains in the spotlight, with the council set to separate fact from fiction and proceed according to law.
