Opp all set to hold elections protest, observe mourning day today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The opposition has announced observing countrywide mourning day along with its planned protest to mark second anniversary of general elections, which it believed were engineered, on Sunday (today).

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Opposition leader Mahmood Achakzai said that the country is going through a very critical situation, adding “we all have to unite against oppression, we will not allow anyone to sink Pakistan.”

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said the rulers should be aware of the real representatives of the people adding oppression will also observe black day and mourning day.

Salman Akram Raja said, “Our vote was stolen on February 8, 2024 and appealed to all of Pakistan to shut down the shutters and come out on roads peacefully.

Former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that the government has completely failed.

“We want a Pakistan where all are brothers. Today will also be holding black day and mourning day,” he said.

Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said, “Not a day passes in our beloved country without a tragedy.

“Hundreds of people were martyred in terrorism in Balochistan.”
