KARACHI (Dunya News) - Former Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said he does not think Shehbaz Sharif will remain Prime Minister until 2027, adding there is no economic stability in the country.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, Miftah Ismail said, “I condemn the suicide bombing in a mosque in Islamabad. We all have to unite and fight terrorism. We have to eliminate terrorists in Balochistan.”
He said that the people of Balochistan must be given their legitimate rights. “If the country is becoming economically stable, why poverty and unemployment is increasing. What kind of economic stability it is when the country is run by IMF loans,” the former minster went on saying.
He said there is no economic stability in the country, adding, “Our party is in favour of privatisation. People are suffering from consequences of electricity and gas theft. Thefts occur in government companies. This government has not passed a single law in favour of the people.”
Miftah Ismail said like every year, everything will become expensive this Ramazan. “I do not think Shahbaz Sharif will remain the Prime Minister until 2027.
“I reject the MQM's demand to give Karachi to the federation. When the MQM was running Karachi, it gave bodies in sacks. Local government should be strengthened as the Musharraf government did.”
