PARIS, Feb X (Reuters) – Former French culture minister Jack Lang has resigned as president of the Arab World Institute, the French Foreign Affairs Ministry said on Saturday.
The resignation comes amid growing pressure over Lang’s reported ties to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Lang, who served as culture minister under President Francois Mitterrand, had faced scrutiny in recent days as questions emerged about his past connections with Epstein.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed the decision but did not provide further details on the circumstances surrounding his departure.
