Fire at factory in Karachi's Landhi brought under control after 11 hours

KARACHI (Dunya News) - A fire that broke out at a plastic manufacturing factory in the Export Processing Zone area of Landhi was brought under control after 11 hours.

According to officials, the fire erupted at a plastic factory and later spread to nearby factories of old clothes and shoes. The blaze spread from one factory to another, while a third factory was saved from damage.

The third-degree fire erupted at around 8:45 pm on Friday. More than 20 fire tenders and three snorkels from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Pakistan Navy and Rescue 1122 took part in the firefighting operation.

Karachi Commissioner said no loss of life was reported in the incident.
