ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued an important forecast regarding the start of Ramadan 1447 Hijri.
The first day of Ramadan is expected to fall on February 19, 2026, while the crescent moon is likely to be sighted on February 18, 2026.
According to the forecast, the moon will be born on February 17 at 5:01 pm. By February 18, the moon’s age will reach approximately 26 hours in Karachi, making it more likely to be visible.
The sun will set at 6:25 pm, while the moon will set at 7:24 pm, increasing the chances of moon sighting in the city.
Experts suggest that the weather will remain partly cloudy in most regions, but for the moon to be visible, its age must be at least 19 hours.
