LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has reduced the electricity export rate by 66 paisa for net metering customers.
The LESCO’s IT Directorate has issued a notification in this regard, stating that the export rate per unit has been reduced from Rs25.98 to Rs25.32.
The new billing policy will take effect from the January 2026 billing cycle. Additionally, there will be a restriction on the export of units exceeding the approved DG capacity.
The notification stated that any additional export units will be limited in proportion to the DG capacity, and a new adjustment formula has been introduced for cases where export MDI exceeds the allowable limit. Adjustments will continue under CP 22 regulations.
LESCO has also made it mandatory for net metering customers to accurately register their export MDI. The company warned that incorrect or incomplete data may lead to billing issues.
The IT Directorate of LESCO has directed all relevant officers to ensure immediate implementation of these changes.
