KARACHI (Dunya News) -The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has finalized arrangements at cemeteries across the city to facilitate citizens visiting graves on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
Director Cemeteries KMC Iqbal Pervez stated that preparations at KMC-administered graveyards are nearing completion. He said that, on the directives of the Mayor of Karachi, steps are being taken to provide maximum facilities to citizens.
According to Iqbal Pervez, arrangements for lighting and water tankers have been made at 38 cemeteries, while guidance camps will also be set up at KMC-managed graveyards to assist visitors.
He further said that city wardens have been deployed around cemeteries to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and avoid congestion during peak visiting hours.
On the night of Shab-e-Barat, a large number of citizens visit graveyards to offer prayers for their deceased loved ones.
