LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb announced special environmental measures for citizens during the Basant festival.
In a statement from Lahore, she said wind speeds are currently low, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached 192. However, progress has been made in smog control through modern data, scientific models, and technology.
To ease environmental pressure during Basant, the Punjab government will provide free public transport for Lahore residents from February 6 to 8. Buses, Metro Bus services, and the Orange Line Metro Train will be available at no cost for three days.
