RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Field Marshal Khalifa Abu-al-Qasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, along with Dr Osama Saad Hammad, Prime Minister of Libya, called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters on Sunday.
The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on regional security dynamics and avenues for professional military cooperation.
Both sides discussed the evolving security landscape in their respective regions and highlighted the importance of sustained engagement between the armed forces of Pakistan and Libya.
Field Marshal Asim Munir welcomed the Libyan delegation and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for peace, stability, and institutional development in Libya, underlining the value of continued defence-level collaboration.
The discussions were held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the longstanding friendly ties between Pakistan and Libya.
