ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A notification claiming that Pakistan’s federal government extended the retirement age of civil servants from 60 to 63 years has been declared as fake.
The fake notification, falsely attributed to the Establishment Division, claimed the extension would take effect from Jan. 1, 2026. It included counterfeit logos, fake references to the Finance and Establishment Divisions, and forged signatures of officials.
Government sources have confirmed that no official order regarding retirement age has been issued.
Authorities emphasized that previous similar fake notifications were circulated to create confusion and uncertainty among civil servants and the public.
Officials urged employees and citizens to rely only on authentic notifications published through official channels or the government gazette.
