KARACHI (Dunya News) - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said the Bhutto family and 40 families have held Sindh hostage.
Speaking to the media at Shahr-e-Quaid on Sunday, the JI chief said that the participants have emerged as the hope of the city, people want to see this city move forward.
“A constitutional government is needed. We need an empowered urban government system. We are starting a grand movement from this Shar-e-Faisal,” the JI Ameer said.
He said Karachi is also a city of Sindhi, Balochi, Pashtuns, Kashmiris and Hazaras. The city's twenty million youth need employment. There is a coalition of the ruling class, which is made up of the elders and landlords.
He said when the Gul Plaza incident happened, the mayor of this city arrived after 23 hours. Bilawal and Zardari did not come to Gul Plaza.
“I want to ask the Prime Minister, this city pays 42 percent tax,” the JI chief said.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that people were burnt in the fire and Shahbaz Sharif has not reached Karachi till date. While people are burning and falling into gutters, the MQM and PPP are fighting each other.
