Tirah Valley families' registration underway in organised manner

A group that was affixing fake tokens and seals in various markets of Bara has been exposed, it said.

KHYBER (Dunya News) - The Khyber district administration has said the registration process of IDP families coming from the Tirah Valley is ongoing in an organised and respectful manner.

According to the district administration, a transparent registration process is underway at five centres in Payanda China and Bara under the supervision of the district administration.

A group that was affixing fake tokens and seals in various markets of Bara has been exposed, it said.

Bara Assistant Commissioner Talha Rafiq Alam carried out the operation and arrested three suspects for selling verified fake tokens of Kamarkhel and other nations for collecting money.

A large number of fake tokens, identity card copies, fake seals and laptops have been recovered from the arrested individuals.

The arrested persons were illegally collecting money by affixing the signatures and seals of elders on IDP tokens in photo booth shops. The arrested persons are being transferred to Bara police station and legal action is being taken against them.

The district administration is taking steps to prevent fake tokens at registration centres in Bara.

Under the supervision of the administration, various teams are closely monitoring all markets to protect IDP families from fraud and imposters.

The district administration has appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and immediately report such activities to Assistant Commissioner the concerned so that action can be taken against them.
