Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi makes surprise visit to a Nadra centre in Karachi, orders immediate resolution of complaints, correction of records, and timely completion of citizens’ documentation.

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a surprise visit to the 24/7 open Nadra Centre in Defence, Karachi.

According to the Interior Ministry spokesperson, the minister met citizens who had come to obtain identity cards and other documents. He inquired about waiting times and the overall process. Several citizens complained about delays in their turn.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured the public that the issue of delayed processing would be resolved and issued on-the-spot instructions for immediate redress of complaints.

He stated that the system was being further improved and that delays would be addressed on a permanent basis.

During the visit, the minister took immediate notice of a complaint regarding the issuance of a death certificate for a citizen’s wife who was alive and ordered instant correction of the documents on the spot.

On another complaint regarding incorrect name entry on a woman’s identity card, the minister directed the NADRA in-charge to correct the record without charging any additional fee.

Mohsin Naqvi also visited various counters and interacted with staff, instructing Nadra officials to complete citizens’ work within the stipulated time, ensure services are provided in a single visit, and offer complete guidance to applicants.
