LAHORE (Dunya News) - A youngster sustained critical injuries when string of a kite cut his throat while going on a motorcycle in Gajumata area of Kahna in Lahore on Friday, Dunya News reported.
Rescue teams shifted the youngster, identified as Faisal, to a Lahore hospital for treatment. Rescue sources informed that the injured was in stable condition,
The Punjab government has announced Basant festival, to be held on February 6 to 8, with kite flying under a strict law meant to prohibit using metallic wire to fly kites.
The law also recommends severe punishment and heavy fines for those who will violate rules and regulations announced for safe kite flying.
