LAHORE (Dunya News) — The Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA) has appointed a new project team to lead the revamp of the Data Darbar and Bhaati Chowk area, cancelling all previous directives and issuing a fresh office order for the initiative.

According to the notification, Muhammad Asad has been named project director for the Data Darbar Area Revamping Project. Abdul Jabbar and Muhammad Ali Samir have been appointed deputy directors for engineering, while Yar Muhammad Ranjha and Babar Ali will serve as assistant directors.

The agency also assigned Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Kashif and Ameer Raza as sub-engineers for the project.

The newly formed team will oversee work in and around Data Darbar, Bhaati Chowk, Mohni Road and adjacent localities.

Officials said the officers and staff will carry out their duties alongside their existing responsibilities.

Authorities said the revamp aims to improve traffic flow, pedestrian access and overall infrastructure in one of Lahore’s busiest and most visited areas, which sees heavy daily footfall from worshippers, residents and tourists.

Further details on project timelines and funding are expected to be announced in the coming days, officials added.
