(Dunya News) - An inquiry has been launched against Najaf Hameed, brother of former Director General ISI Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, in connection with a corruption case and allegations of possessing assets beyond known sources of income.
Sources said the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Cell has initiated the inquiry and sought details related to Najaf Hameed from various government institutions.
The FIA has also requested complete bank account details as part of the investigation.
According to officials, FIA teams conducted raids at multiple locations to arrest Najaf Hameed; however, he could not be apprehended.
Najaf Hameed is reportedly wanted by the Anti-Corruption Establishment in a separate case.
His interim bail was earlier cancelled in connection with a land scam case. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
