ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) — The federal government and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on achieving national economic targets under the Uraan Pakistan Program.

The MoU was signed by Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh at a ceremony attended by representatives from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and senior FPCCI officials.

Under the agreement, both sides pledged to work toward the government’s long-term vision of building a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with a focus on export-led growth, public-private partnerships, and closer coordination between industry and government.

Speaking at a joint press conference, Atif Ikram Sheikh described the Uraan Pakistan Program as a roadmap for sustainable development, increased exports, and economic recovery, emphasizing the role of the business community in stabilizing the economy.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government had steered the country away from default and was now focusing on long-term stability and growth.

He stressed the need to boost exports, develop district-level export plans, and strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors to drive economic expansion.
