ACCRA (Dunya News) – Pakistan and Ghana have signed two Memorandums of Understanding during their first-ever bilateral political consultations.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the next round of bilateral political consultations will be held next year in Islamabad. The Pakistani delegation was led by Additional Foreign Secretary Hamid Asghar Khan, while Ghana’s delegation was headed by Chief Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khadija Idrissu.
It was stated that during the first round of bilateral political consultations, separate MoUs were signed on political consultations and cooperation between the foreign service training institutions of both countries.
According to the joint statement, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations and agreed to enhance cooperation in political, economic, defense, tourism, culture, health, education, information technology, and other sectors.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Pakistan and Ghana have enjoyed friendly and cooperative relations for decades, and that the process of institutionalized dialogue will make bilateral relations more meaningful and ensure cooperation in joint initiatives.
