Overseas Pakistanis' property rights to be fully protected, Naqvi says

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured that overseas Pakistanis' property rights will be fully protected, with decisions on disputes in Islamabad to be made within 7 days, ensuring swift action

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday assured that the property rights of overseas Pakistanis will be fully protected, and no one will be allowed to unlawfully occupy their land.

In a statement, Naqvi announced that the deputy commissioner (DC) of Islamabad would be required to make a decision on any property dispute involving overseas Pakistanis within seven days.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of safeguarding the investments of overseas Pakistanis, stating that their capital in Islamabad is both welcomed and valued.

He reassured that the government would provide a secure and investor-friendly environment for overseas Pakistanis to continue their investments without fear of property encroachment.

He further added that the government would ensure swift, transparent, and effective actions to protect the assets of overseas Pakistanis, guaranteeing a robust legal framework to address any disputes in a timely manner.
