GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - A woman has been arrested for murdering her niece who she thought was a hurdle in her marriage, Dunya News reported here on Monday.
The alleged killer has been identified as Urooj. She used to look after her three-year-old niece. According to Wazirabad police, the suspect strangled the girl, and threw her dead body in fields.
Police said the suspect confessed her crime. Further investigation was underway. The tragic incident left the area people heartbroken, who demanded action against the stony-hearted woman.
They believed the innocent girl was not an impediment to the marriage of the accused. Police were recording statements from the family members of the accused to know the exact motive behind the murder of the innocent girl.
