Two extortionists killed in joint Rangers-police operation in Karachi

Two suspects, involved in extortion and over 300 street crimes, were killed in a shootout with Rangers and SIU Police in Karachi’s Garden area. Both were linked to criminal groups

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two suspects were killed in a joint operation by Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and SIU Police against extortionists in Karachi's Garden area.

The operation was launched based on intelligence reports, targeting members of an extortion ring.

During the operation, the suspects opened fire on law enforcement officers, prompting a retaliatory response in which Muhammad Hassan, alias Belcha, and Tanveer Ali, alias Tittar, were fatally shot. Both individuals were identified as key members of the notorious Jameel Chhanga and Zahid Ladla criminal groups.

According to Rangers spokesperson, the deceased were involved in extortion activities targeting business centers, shopkeepers, and builders.

They were also responsible for violent incidents involving gunfire and spreading fear in the area, specifically in the Soldier Bazaar and Jamshed Town neighborhoods.

The suspects were implicated in over 300 street crimes and had a history of multiple arrests and jail sentences due to their criminal activities.

Rangers officials assured the public that their efforts to maintain law and order would continue, with operations against criminal elements being carried out without any discrimination.
