Three militants killed in Panjgur IBO: ISPR

Security forces killed three militants during an operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan after receiving intelligence about their presence, the military’s media wing said.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) — Pakistan’s security forces killed three militants in an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the military’s media wing said Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops acted on a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area. A gun battle followed, during which three suspects were killed.

The ISPR said those killed included a local commander identified as Farooq, also known as Suro, along with two others named Adil and Wasim. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site.

In a statement, the military said the suspects were involved in several attacks in the area and that a clearance operation is ongoing to track down any remaining militants.

The ISPR added that security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing their counterterrorism campaign under the national vision of “Azm-e-Istihkam,” vowing to leave no stone unturned to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, The suicide bomber who struck a wedding ceremony in Dera Ismail Khan has been identified, officials said on Saturday, after CCTV footage from the venue came to light.

Sources said the attacker was identified as a 21-year-old man named Abdul Rehman. The footage shows him entering the wedding area wrapped in a white shawl, blending into the crowd as celebrations were underway.

According to the video, the bomber left the main gathering during a tribal dance and walked toward a rear room where local elders were present. Moments after entering the room, he detonated the explosive device.
