ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Assembly’s YouTube channel has not been shut down, and reports circulating on media and social platforms are baseless, a spokesperson said.
The spokesperson clarified that news published by channels and newspapers regarding the channel’s closure was incorrect. Due to a social media server outage, technical issues temporarily rendered the channel inactive.
He added that the technical problem was resolved the same day and the channel is fully operational again. Proceedings and speeches from the joint session of Parliament have also been uploaded.
The spokesperson further stated that fabricated reports about the channel’s closure were circulated without seeking the National Assembly Secretariat’s stance prior to publication or broadcast.
