KARACHI (Dunya News) - Ten additional judges of the Sindh High Court have taken oath as permanent judges in a ceremony held at the court premises.
The judges who were sworn in as permanent members of the Sindh High Court include Justice Miran Muhammad Shah, Justice Tasneem Sultana, Justice Riyazat Ali Sahar, Justice Muhammad Hassan Akbar, Justice Abdul Hameed Bharghari, Justice Jan Ali Junejo, Justice Nisar Ahmed, Justice Ali Haider Ada, Justice Usman Ali Hadi, and Justice Jafar Raza.
Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, administered the oath to the newly confirmed judges. All ten judges had previously been serving as additional judges of the court.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by judges of the Sindh High Court, the Additional Attorney General, the Advocate General Sindh, the Prosecutor General, family members of the judges, and a large number of lawyers.
Six additional judges of Sindh High Court made permanent
Meanwhile, Justice Khalid Hussain Shahani and Justice Faiz-ul-Hassan Shah were not confirmed as permanent judges. However, their tenure as additional judges has been extended for a period of six months.
