KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s official foreign exchange reserves inched up by $16 million over the past week, the State Bank of Pakistan said on Thursday.
According to central bank data, the country’s official reserves climbed from $16.718 billion to $16.877 billion.
The State Bank also reported that total reserves went up by $9.8 million to $21.258 billion, while reserves held by commercial banks edged down by $61 million to $5.170 billion.
Officials said the latest figures point to a steady trend, even as the market keeps a close eye on inflows and upcoming external payments.
