LAHORE (Dunya News) – There is a possibility that Pakistan may also boycott the World Cup if Bangladesh does not participate in the ICC T20 World Cup, said sources on Thursday.
Bangladesh will decide today whether or not to participate in the T20 World Cup. Several senior players of the Bangladesh team are in favour of participating, and the Bangladesh government will take the players into confidence.
The cricket governing body ICC (International Cricket Council) on Wednesday rejected Bangladesh’s request to shift its matches from India to co-host Sri Lanka citing security threats. Pakistan had assured Bangladesh of its full support.
According to a cricket website, if Bangladesh does not travel to India, the ICC is considering including another team in the tournament.
