ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a joint session of Parliament under Article 54(1) of the Constitution of Pakistan, on Friday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m.
According to the National Assembly Secretariat, an official notification for the meeting has been issued. Members of both the National Assembly and the Senate are expected to attend the session.
Details regarding the agenda of the joint session will be shared later.
The move comes under the President’s constitutional authority to convene a joint sitting of Parliament.
