(Web Desk) - Anam Tanveer, known for her hit dramas Lashkara, Do Bol, Noor-e-Zindagi, and the film Jee Ve Sohneya Ji, recently spoke candidly about love, heartbreak, and her views on marriage.
Appearing on Dunya News programme Mazaq Raat hosted by Imran Ashraf, Anam opened up about her personal experiences with failed relationships. She reflected on how loving deeply and putting immense effort into a relationship can sometimes result in being taken for granted.
According to her, recognizing when a relationship becomes one-sided is crucial, and having the strength to walk away is an act of self-respect.
“It’s difficult to leave someone you love, but if your love isn’t reciprocated, it’s better to walk away,” she shared.
“I cried for a few days and then moved on. Silence in love can also be closure.”
Addressing her former relationship, Anam described love as a test of courage. “Love is meant for brave people. A weak man cannot truly love. He was a weak man, and that’s why it didn’t work,” she said.
Reflecting on her time in Tamasha Season 3, she shared that the experience taught her a great deal about herself and relationships. When asked about her ideal life partner, Anam responded thoughtfully, saying she doesn’t have a fixed checklist.
“I don’t have a clear answer,” she said. “If Allah wants, He will place that desire in my heart.” She added that she is looking for someone with a positive mindset who respects her profession and understands the demands of the entertainment industry, including late-night work schedules. Anam clarified that she does not want a partner who pressures her to work continuously.
“Whether or not I want to work should be my own decision,” she emphasized.
