Gold prices soar to record high, cross Rs500,000 for first time

In the international bullion market, the price of gold jumped by $127 per ounce.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold prices surged to historic levels once again in both global and local markets, with the price of gold exceeding Rs 500,000 per tola for the first time in Pakistan.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold jumped by $127 per ounce, reaching a new record high of $4,840 per ounce.

Meanwhile, in the local exchange markets, the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs 12,700 per tola, hitting a record high of Rs 506,362 per tola. The price of gold per 10 grams also rose by Rs 10,888, reaching Rs 434,123.

Silver prices also climbed to a record high. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs 64, reaching Rs 9,933 for the first time.
