SAPM Haroon Akhtar reviews arrangements for 'Made in Pakistan – SME Cluster Showcase 2026'

Special Assistant to the PM on Industries, Haroon Akhtar Khan, reviewed preparations for the ‘Made in Pakistan – SME Cluster Showcase 2026’ in Lahore, urging full support for SME clusters

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries & Production Haroon Akhtar Khan reviewed the preparations for the ‘Made in Pakistan – SME Cluster Showcase 2026,’ scheduled from January 24 to 26 at the Expo Center, Lahore.

During a Zoom meeting with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) team organizing the event, he emphasized that all efforts should be made to ensure the showcase’s success.

He said the event aims to strengthen Pakistan’s micro, small, and medium enterprise ecosystem, expand market access, and position SME clusters as a competitive pillar of the national economy, aligning with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s SME development vision.

Mr. Khan instructed SMEDA to ensure that SME clusters, particularly those from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, South Punjab, and Balochistan, receive full visibility and support.

Earlier, SMEDA CEO Nadia J. Seth presented a detailed plan, assuring that the organization would highlight the potential and promise of Pakistan’s clusters.

She said an effective media and marketing campaign had been developed to showcase the country’s economic strength and resilience.

The SAPM was informed that HBL, Bank Al Habib, and Pak Suzuki Motors have partnered as Platinum Sponsors, while Bank of Punjab is the Gold Sponsor, reflecting their commitment to supporting the growth of Pakistan’s SME sector.
