QUETTA (Dunya News): A fire broke out at a private plaza located on Prince Road, one of Quetta’s busiest commercial areas, resulting in dozens of shops being gutted.

According to rescue officials, six fire brigade vehicles and four vehicles of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) are present at the scene. However, the blaze has not yet been brought fully under control.

PDMA officials stated that fire balls are being used to control the intense flames, while dense smoke and the severity of the fire are causing significant difficulties for rescue teams.

Rescue authorities reported that the affected plaza housed shops dealing in computers, mobile phones, garments, and other goods, raising fears of heavy financial losses.
