WINDHOEK (Dunya News) - South Africa’s Under-19 cricket team produced a dominant batting display to set a new record in the history of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026.

In a match against Tanzania, South Africa posted a mammoth 397 for 5, the highest total of this edition of the Under-19 World Cup and the best-ever performance by the South African U-19 side in the tournament.

The record surpassed South Africa’s previous highest score of 359 for 6, which was set against Namibia in 2012.

U19 World Cup: Scotland slump to 176-7 in 43 overs

Captain led from the front with a superb 108, while Jason Rolls remained unbeaten on a brilliant 125, helping the team build an imposing total and secure a commanding position.

South Africa had earlier suffered a defeat against Afghanistan in their opening match of the campaign, but this aggressive batting display has lifted their tournament prospects and injected fresh momentum into their World Cup journey.
