5.8 magnitude earthquake hits Islamabad, KP and Gilgit-Baltistan

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with its epicenter in Kashmir. Tremors caused panic but no major casualties or damage have been reported.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck parts of Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday.

The epicenter of the quake was located in the northwestern region of Kashmir, with a depth of 10 kilometers.

The tremors were felt across a wide area, including Islamabad, Peshawar, and several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan and Hunza.

The earthquake caused widespread panic, with residents rushing out of buildings in fear.

Authorities have not reported any major casualties or damage so far.
