A petition filed by Mubashara Khawar, daughter of Bushra Bibi, seeks permission to meet her mother in Adiala Jail. Despite objections, the Lahore High Court will hear the petition today

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A petition filed by the daughter of Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, seeking permission to meet her mother in Adiala Jail has been scheduled for hearing in the Lahore High Court.

The Registrar Office raised an objection to the petition, stating that it should have been filed with the Rawalpindi bench of the high court. Despite this, Justice Farooq Haider will hear the petition today as an objection matter.

The petitioner argued that, under jail rules, she has a full right to meet her mother, who is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail. According to the jail schedule, family members are allowed to meet prisoners every Tuesday.

The petition requested the court to order the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to allow the meeting.

The petitioner, Mubashara Khawar, claimed that her repeated attempts to meet her mother, Bushra Bibi, have been denied, affecting her fundamental rights.
