LAHORE (Web Desk) - Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a major facilitation for overseas Pakistanis.
According to media reports, the PTA has taken an important decision to facilitate Pakistanis residing abroad, under which expatriates will now be able to use their mobile phone services, and their Pakistani SIM cards will not be blocked during their stay overseas.
The PTA stated that the initiative aims to provide relief to overseas Pakistanis by enabling them to retain ownership of their mobile SIMs.
No internet disruption across Pakistan today, PTA clarifies
The authority further said that Pakistanis living abroad can avail this facility by contacting their respective mobile phone operators.
Through this decision, overseas Pakistanis will continue to have access to essential communication services, making it easier for them to stay connected with Pakistan.
The PTA added that it remains committed to empowering overseas Pakistanis and is playing an active role in expanding digital connectivity at the global level.
