DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, killing three most-wanted terrorists, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
According to CTD officials, the operation resulted in the elimination of terrorists identified as Naimatullah, Abdul Rauf Afghani, and Mustafa. The slain militants were reportedly involved in direct attacks on police and security forces and were considered highly dangerous.
Security officials said that a cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the terrorists, including three Kalashnikov rifles, nine magazines, two hand grenades, and a large number of bullets.
Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Additional Inspector General of CTD praised the CTD teams for the successful operation. They stated that attacks on police personnel would be met with decisive action and reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying intelligence-based operations to ensure the complete elimination of militants.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the CTD for killing three Indian-sponsored terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan. He commended the bravery and professional skills of CTD personnel, saying the operation had foiled the terrorists’ nefarious designs.
The interior minister emphasized that the achievements of CTD and other security forces in maintaining peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are highly commendable. He added that the entire nation stands with the country’s brave security forces to eradicate the menace of terrorism completely.
