KARACHI (Dunya News): The Sindh government has made an unequivocal stated that it will not allow a wheel-jam strike announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on February 8.

Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that PTI is engaged in politics of chaos. He said that an attempt was made to repeat an incident like May 9 in Karachi, during which stones were pelted at the police and media vehicles were vandalized. He added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf carried out every action that caused harm to the public.

Sharjeel Memon said that the people of Karachi have always rejected those who practice politics of disorder. He added that the Sindh government, while showing restraint, did not register cases against any PTI leader.

Meanwhile, calling on PTI to withdraw its wheel-jam strike scheduled for February 8, Nasser Hussain Shah said that they cannot afford chaos and riots. He said PTI wants to repeat the May 9 tragedy, saying that the strike would end up causing difficulties for PTI’s own workers.
