LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Malik Muhammad Shafi has been elected unopposed in the PP-167 Lahore constituency following the issuance of official results by the returning officer.
The seat had fallen vacant after the demise of MPA Irfan Shafi Khokhar. As no other nomination papers were filed or upheld against Malik Muhammad Shafi, the election was completed without a contest.
Returning Officer Muhammad Umar Maqbool issued Form-34, formally declaring Malik Muhammad Shafi elected unopposed. The process was completed in accordance with the Election Act, 2017.
Election officials confirmed that all legal requirements were fulfilled, leading to the uncontested election outcome in the constituency.
With this development, PML-N has retained the PP-167 Lahore seat, maintaining its political presence in the constituency.
