KARACHI (Dunya News) – Gold prices in Pakistan surged to an all-time high on Tuesday, marking another record-breaking session for both local and international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate of 24-karat gold increased by Rs8,500 per tola, reaching Rs470,862. The price of 10 grams of 24k gold also rose sharply by Rs7,288, selling for Rs403,688. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed by Rs6,681 to reach Rs370,060.

In international markets, gold surged by $85 per ounce, settling at $4,485, reflecting strong investor interest amid shifting currency trends and economic volatility.

Despite the surge in gold, silver prices remained stable. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola stayed at Rs7,205, while 10 grams of silver held steady at Rs6,177.

The rise in gold prices underscores continued global preference for precious metals as a safe-haven investment in times of economic uncertainty, with both local and international investors actively purchasing the yellow metal.
