KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers and police on Monday night conducted a joint search operation and arrested 14 suspects from different areas, Dunya News reported.
The operation was carried out in Sher Shah, Baldia and Madinah Colony. The law enforcers sealed exit and entry points of city before the operation. Policewomen also joined the operation team.
Houses, hotels, rest houses, and inns were checked and people were grilled on suspicision there. Their criminal record was checked. Those arrested were sent to police stations for interrogation.
In Sher Shah, three suspects were apprehended with weapons and drugs. They have been identified as Amir, Riaz and Majid. Further investigation was underway.
Earlier, Sindh Rangers and police carried out a joint operation in Ghotki district of interior Sindh, killing nine bandits and injuring 27 others.
The operation was conducted at Cross Band Khan Garh Chowk against criminal gangs including Indhar, Lathani, Bukhirani, Sheikhani and Mazari groups.
