Nine robbers killed, seven abductees rescued in Punjab, Sindh Katcha area operation

OBARO (Dunya News) - Police and rangers carried out a joint operation against robbers of riverine areas of Punjab and Sindh and rescued seven abductees after neutralising nine suspected outlaws, Dunya News reported here on Sunday night.

A police spokesperson said that during the operation, seven hostages were rescued, one hostage died, and a large quantity of modern weapons were recovered.

The spokesperson said that after destroying 17 hideouts of the robbers, the police entered the next hideouts. The police also arrested more than 19 of the robbers' facilitators.

Ghotki SSP Anwar Khetran said that the heavy weapons found during the police search operation and the bodies of the robbers were handed over to Rojhan DPO of Punjab. Several robbers from the Andhar, Lathani and Sukhani gangs were killed.

Police took control of Katcha Karachi, Katcha Rajwani, and Katcha Razi.

SSP Anwar Khetran said the joint operation of the forces will continue until the last bandit is eliminated.
