Rupee inches up as dollar slips further in interbank trade

Updated on:

Pakistani rupee strengthened slightly against the US dollar in interbank trading, with the greenback closing at Rs280.25, down by one paisa compared to the previous session

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistani rupee continued to gain ground against the US dollar in interbank trading on Friday, as the greenback edged down for the second straight session.

On the fifth and final trading day of the week, the dollar lost one paisa, closing at Rs280.25 in the interbank market. A day earlier, the US currency had settled at Rs280.26.

Though the movement was marginal, market watchers said the trend shows the rupee is “holding its ground,” reflecting stable demand and supply dynamics in the interbank market.
