CSS Examination 2026: FPSC introduces single paper per day format

Updated on:

FPSC announces single compulsory paper per day for CSS Competitive Examination-2026.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced a key change in the conduct of compulsory papers for the CSS Competitive Examination, starting from 2026.

The commission has decided that only one compulsory paper will be held per day, replacing the previous practice of conducting two papers in a single day.

The move has been introduced to provide candidates with more time for preparation and to ensure the smooth running of examinations across all centres. Candidates will no longer face back-to-back exams on the same day, allowing for a less stressful experience and better performance opportunities.
