LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least three people were killed and 20 other were wounded in two separate fog-related accidents in Sadiqabad and Zahir Pir in the wee hours of Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the first accident occurred in Sadiqabad where a bus overturned due to fog, as a result three people died on the spot and 20 other sustained injuries.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to a hospital in Rahim Yar Khan. According to rescue sources, some of the injured were in critical condition.
The second accident occurred near Zahir Pir Interchange where five people were wounded after a bus turmed turtle. Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital.
The thick fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in several cities of Punjab and Sindh. According to a Motorway spokesperson, the Motorway, Motorway M2 from Lahore to Hiran Minar, Motorway M3 from Faizpur to Rajana, Motorway M4 from Pindi Bhattial to Multan, Motorway M5 from Multan to Rohri, have been closed for all kind of traffic.
