KAQRACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s gold prices witnessed a big leap on Friday, as the per tola rate rose by Rs10,700, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
With this steep increase, the price of one tola of gold reached Rs454,262. The association said the price hike is driven by stronger international demand and ongoing market uncertainty, adding that gold prices have been “climbing day by day.”
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs9,174, pushing the new rate to Rs389,456.
On the global front, gold also continued its upward march. The international price jumped by $107, reaching $4,319 per ounce, reflecting investors’ move towards safe-haven commodities as financial markets remain volatile.
Jewelers noted that with global prices “going through the roof,” the domestic market is feeling the heat as well. They added that buyers are adopting a “wait and see” approach, while traders remain on the edge due to rapid fluctuations.
